"This was posted by a cousin (grlncali) to the Ancestry.com personal military page of Joseph on April 7th, 2012. Prior to that it may have been in the Broderbund Gedcom 2810 where my father (Ronald Stuart Sapp) acquired it on March 25th, 1999. I have seen this listed in many other places as well. The original author of this information nor anyone who has referenced it from that time have provided any proof as to the parents of Joseph let alone that he had brothers who also fought in the war."
