- He's found in the 1910 census in the 13th District, Sevier County, TN: KING, George W. (39); wife Tilda J. (40); children James P. (17); John W. (9); ?? B. [should be David B.] (5); Linnie A. (2); son not named (0/12). [This census was taken on April 26, 1910.] George and Tilda had been married 20 years. Tilda was mother of 5 children, all of whom were living. Everyone in the household was born in Tennessee, as were their parents. George was a farmer; James a farm laborer.
He's found in the 1930 census in Sevier County, TN: KING, Brad D. (25); wife Blanche (22); children Arthur (5); Janis (3); Charlotte (3/12). Everyone in the household was born in TN. Brad was a farmer.
His birth certificate was issued in July 1964, using his uncle W. G. Newman's family bible; affidavits signed by his Uncle Newman and Eli A. Wilson; and a statement from K. Rawlings Mutual Burial Association dated August 5, 1935. Interestingly enough, his name was given on this certificate as Brad David King, even though the family always said his name was David Brad King. He went by the name "Brad."

KING, DAVID BRAD -- age 78, of Rt. 2, Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1983. Member of Williamsburg Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Blanche Emert King, 3 sons, Arthur of Maryville, Billy of Ohio, James of Dandridge; daughters Janice Townsend, Knoxville, Rue Proffitt, North Carolina, Charlotte Breeden, Eva Seagle, Eugenia Watson, Sevierville; 31 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Seldon King, Sevierville. Preceded in death by son, John E. King. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday, Rawlings Chapel, Revs. Clell King, Larry Justice, Clarence Wilson officiating. Interment in Williamsburg Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of his Sunday School class. Active Pallbears: grandsons. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Rawlings.
