On 29 NOV 1782 Michael petitioned the Kent Co. Orphans Court to divide his father's real estate.
On 25 SEP 1787 Michael and his wife Keren-happuch of Murderkill Hd. sold to Thomas Ricketts, for 85 pounds, 63-1/2 acres, which was parcel B on Double Run Branch, inherited from his father, Benjamin, who had died intestate. Michael signed as Michael Furbee; Keren-happuch made her mark (/).
On 23 OCT 1788 Michael and his wife Keren-happuch of Murderkill Hd. sold to Thomas Ricketts, for 24 pounds, the land he had inherited from his brother Bowers, marked part D, 17-1/2 acres 29 square perches, including parts of the widow's thirds. Bowers had died under the age of 21, and Michael was now his only surviving heir.
On 3 MAR 1792 Michael Furbee, "now of Monongalia County in the state of Virganey but formerly of Murderkill Hundred in Kent County and state of Delaware, the son of Benjamin Furbee, late of the last Mentioned Place, Farmer, deceased," for 24 pounds good gold or silver money sold to Thomas Ricketts of Murderkill Hundred two parcels of land marked "upon the division of the said Benjamin Furbee's real estate with the letter A as well all his the said Michael Furbee's Right & EstateÅ that descended and became his Right by the death of his Brothers Benjamin & Bowers FurbeeÅ " The deed was recorded 11 DEC 1793.
