Findley was a graduate of Leland Stanford Jr. University. He was a preacher of the gospel. He went to Tacoma Washington shortly after graduation to preach and came in contact with the family of William Sapp son of Selby Sapp who were members of the church. Selby Sapp was the oldest son of Benjamin Sapp. Findley was the son of James Sapp the youngest son of Benjamin Sapp. The time frame of the above was the early 1900's.
